Less than 24 hours!

Two months without a word.  You probably thought I was of on that cruise.  Actually, some of it was CLIA’s fault.  They had their “World’s Largest Cruise Night” in October. It was really more than a night - it was a month long sale event and kept me away from this part of the computer.

That may explain the first part of you absence.  November has been busy just getting ready for the cruise, for tomorrow we leave for Rome Italy!  For those who didn’t figure it out, we will be on the Grand Princess for the 21-day Transatlantic cruise back to Ft Lauderdale.

I’ll try to post comments as we go along so tune in tomorrow (or the day after).

Update

Applying for visa was no problem other than traffic getting to the Consulate.  I as in and out in 10 minutes.  Will pick up visa in 3 weeks.

Better than 2 months now.  Boarding passes are printed.  Now time to start packing.

Visa

Tomorrow I need to go get our VISAs.  Hope I don’t have the same problem that some fellow passengers from LA area are having with this.

Snorkeling

I hope to snorkel Champagne Reef again on this cruise. We have one other port-of-call with a real snorkeling opportunity but we did this excursion last spring and really enjoyed it - maybe we’ll do both.

Anyone see a Peugeot?

Not now, but there’s a good chance to see a Peugeot on day-2.

Looking forward to a Pint

On the 5th I hope to find a Pub after we do some shopping at M&S.

Get the world map out

I’m estimating that we will cross the Equator at about 6:00 AM on the 12th and again at about 6:00 AM on the 14th

A real Hint

I dropped the ball and haven’t posted anything in 10 days so I better say something substantial.  The cruise will cover 6 time zones…

Good Luck,

Congratulations to the winner!

Well, my final payment has been made (there’s a hint). The $100 on-board Credit winner was “JackLee” with a good guess but he/she almost missed the boat.

For the fun of it, I’ll keep the challenge going with another $100 on-board credit* for the first person who identifies my next cruise.

I’m looking for cruise line, ship, ports, and dates.

Time is of the essence - submit your guesses early!

Everyone who submit’s a guess will get an extra discount on a future cruise and the winner will get a $100 on-board credit*.

Note:  Some hints are very obvious and others are hidden.  I’ve been posting hints for over a month and will continue to post at least one a week.

*Contact me to book a 7-day or longer cruise Celebrity, Holland America, or Princess in a Balcony stateroom to receive your on-board credit along with the best possible rate.  Booking must be made by 31 Dec 2009.

Reading Material

I’ve ordered my Kindle, now I need to start adding books.  Let’s see, I’ll need a book for each sea day but I’ll probably only read half a book each port day except for the last day.  16 books, does that sound right?
